FUNTASTIC ADLERIAN TECHNIQUES FOR CHANGE

Traumatic events produce challenges to our lives and our sense of who we are. Mr. Guttenberg presents an inspiring story of meeting such a challenge. More than just inspiration, he utilizes humor and sets it to music. His motivational techniques can be useful for parenting classes, private practice, human relations training, or for personal growth in your life.
Objectives: Attendees will:
1. Learn theory behind experiential learning.
2. Understand the power of using humor & metaphor to facilitate the ‘change’ process.
3. Learn a variety of Adlerian concepts and techniques.
Presenter: Rob Guttenberg, MA, LCPC is director of Parenting Education/Youth and Family Counselor for the YMCA Youth and Family Services in Silver Spring, Maryland. He earned a Masters in Counseling Psychology from the Adler-Dreikurs Institute for Human Relations at Bowie State College and is a Diplomate in the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology. Continuing Education Credits: Two (2) hours of Continuing Education available. This program is co-sponsored by the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology (NASAP) and by the NASW-PA, SW Division. WPSAP is an affiliate of The North American Society of Adlerian Psychology (NASAP). NASAP, as a co-sponsor of this workshop, maintains responsibility for all content. NASAP is recognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) to offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors (NCC) and by the American Psychological Association (APA) to offer continuing education for psychologists. We adhere to NBCC and APA Continuing Education Guidelines.” NASAP maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Application has been made to NASW-PA, SW Division for continuing education. WPSAP is also an approved provider for Act 48 credits for the PA Dept. of Education. There is no fee for attendance. There is a nominal charge of $15.00 to process CEs for NASW- PA, SW Division.
