Facing a job termination, considering a change in careers, or finding a job satisfactory to one’s personality and aptitude can be stressful and overwhelming. Career counselors specialize in assessment and counseling for specific populations. Join us for a review of Alfred Adler’s theories and useful career assessment tools with regard to career counseling. Career counseling processes, techniques, and resources will be demonstrated.
1. Participants will understand Adler’s lifestyle assessment, the concept of a client’s lifestyle, their birth order and how it relates to their career goals.
2. Participants will be able to utilize M.L. Savickas’ career-style assessment interview questions for career counseling.
3. Participants will be become familiar with what career counseling resources are available locally and on the web, and have a basic understanding of what career counseling offers.
