 9 AM to 12 PM

Facing a job termination, considering a change in careers, or finding a job satisfactory to one’s

personality and aptitude can be stressful and overwhelming. Career counselors specialize in

assessment and counseling for specific populations. Join us for a review of Alfred Adler’s theories

and useful career assessment tools with regard to career counseling. Career counseling processes,

techniques, and resources will be demonstrated.

Objectives:

1.   Participants will understand Adler’s lifestyle assessment, the concept of a client’s lifestyle, their

birth order and how it relates to their career goals.

2.   Participants will be able to utilize M.L. Savickas’ career-style assessment interview questions

for career counseling.

3.   Participants will be become familiar with what career counseling resources are available locally

and on the web, and have a basic understanding of what career counseling offers.
